Cassaways wife was the one who was beaten the most, her head was beaten with the blunt side of an axe, spraying blood all over the walls. In front of their house, Louis and his six year old daughter were found laying on a daybed, with their skulls crushed from the blunt side of an axe, in the next room, his wife (who was a white woman oddly) was found with her 6 month old son clutched in her arms, his head crushed, her 3 year old daughter lay across her legs. On Olive street in Texas, Louis Cassaway, his wife, and three children were found murdered with an axe on Maafter Louis failed to show up to work. In early January of 1911 in Rayne, Louisiana, a mother and her 3 children were bludgeoned to death with an axe in their home while they slept.Ī month later in February of 1911, 10 miles away from the previous crime scene in Crowley, Louisiana, three members of the Byers family were murdered in their beds with an axe.Ģ weeks later, 20 miles away in Lafayette, Louisiana, 4 members of the Andres family were murdered in the early hours of the morning in their bed. Without further adieu, let's get on with the story. The killer in this case targeted people of African descent, ultimately killing 49 people. I posted about unidentified serial killers in another post and mentioned this killer and it seemed to get a lot of attention, I personally think this is way worse than the Axeman of New Orleans. ![]()
